Give Back in 2017: June

In 2017, one of my goals is to donate $20.17 each month to a different charity or cause that I’m passionate about. I’ll still feature other nonprofits and social enterprises in the Give Back section, but I wanted to share this challenge with you, as well. I hope I can introduce you to some great organizations and maybe even inspire you to join me in this monthly challenge!

charity:water

“charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries.”

I’m a long-time donor of charity:water. I already mentioned them on the blog for Giving Tuesday, but this incredible organization is worth mentioning, again!

Why Water from charity: water on Vimeo.

Water is a basic need of humanity, yet far too many people don’t have access to it. charity:water aims to change that – and in the process, utilizes creativity, multimedia and data to tell the stories of those impacted and bring transparency to donors.

In fact, when you create a fundraising campaign for them, you will continually get updates from the time the campaign closes to the time the well you help fund is live. You even get GPS coordinates!

Generous donors fund the administrative costs of the organization, so 100% of your donations go towards clean water projects.

I encourage you to check out their website, watch the stories and donate! You can follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Donate here!
