This year for Lent, I’m working through the Beauty in the Common Lent Guide. Part of this guide is a photo challenge. Here is my third week! If you’re interested in joining me on this Lenten journey, check out the guide in the link above. You can find week one here and week two here.
Day 20: Beauty in Solitude
Some people fear solitude, but as an introvert? That’s pretty beautiful to me.
Day 21: Beauty in Vulnerability
I am the worst at opening up to people. It takes a lot for me to be vulnerable. It’s easier for me to do this through writing, especially music, but I rarely share my songs. Perhaps this is because I’m afraid they aren’t any good, or perhaps I’m just afraid to be vulnerable. Regardless, I’m learning to see the beauty in the vulnerable and learning to find courage to share the words and songs of my heart.
Day 22: Beauty in Gratitude
This day was easy because it was my mom’s birthday and I am grateful for her!! Thankful for her optimism and positivity, her support in everything I do and her unconditional love. And for passing down her smile and auburn hair 😉
Day 23: Beauty in Form
Have you ever climbed a mountain and just looked out onto creation and been like “God, you done good”? The beauty of our world is pretty breathtaking.
Day 24: Beauty in Affection
Showing affection and care for others is an important part of life. But before you can do this, you first have to love yourself, silly dance moves and all. You can’t love your neighbor as yourself if you don’t value YOU.
Day 25 & Day 26: Beauty in Design & Beauty in Light
In His grand design, God has blessed us all with unique gifts which we can choose to use to serve him. Thankful for the opportunity to serve on the arts team on Baptism Sunday!
